This hotel offers great value for money with affordable prices and attention to detail. Despite being located in a less desirable neighborhood of Brooklyn, it is conveniently situated within 200m of the subway line, making it very convenient for transportation. The staff provide good service and the basic amenities such as the comfortable bed and nice bathroom with a good shower and hot water contribute to a pleasant stay. Additionally, the inclusion of breakfast, which includes fresh warm waffles and replenishing food, adds to the overall value.
The coffee served at breakfast could be improved.

Sumner Hotel is good hotel. It is not very expensive (less than $100 a night), the subway is real close to it (not even 2 minutes away and about 10 minutes from Manhattan). Also, it's a new hotel so everything works perfectly and looks neat. The room was big enough for two, the bed is a queen sized one and is quite comfortable. You have free internet and tv cable. The bathroom is clean, not very big but big enough. There's a room service everyday, the bed is done when you get back and clean towels are provided everyday. There's a free coffee machine next to the hall. The neighborhood is not the prettiest ever but we never had any troubles going back to the hotel. It is a safe area.
You have to talk to employees through a glass which doesn't make it very easy but you sort it out. Also, the walls and doors don't really prevent the noise from getting in your room. The first morning in the hotel we have been awaken by people working in the hotel, it was really loud. That was a Sunday morning....It never happened again but then there was little other noises (other guests, cleaning service people).

the location was ideal, just steps away from a subway station, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. Plus, the hotel was wheelchair accessible, which was a big advantage for me. the room was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom that had a large walk-in shower. the staff was helpful and friendly, and the breakfast provided a great start to the day. I even found a nearby supermarket that had delicious crab salad. a great experience!

We had a very pleasant surprise.....My daughter lives in Williamsburg and we went for an overnight and couldn't have picked a better hotel. Went across the street in the morning for coffee and egg sandwich. Around the corner was budget shopping and fast food......Can't wait to plan our next trip there!...Went to Moto's for Brunch, highly recommened....date cake is a must!

It was affordable and very close to the metro stop.
It was very noisy. They were working on one of the rooms at 8am on a Saturday, which was not ideal for someone on vacation. Also, housekeeping came at 6pm 3 out of the 5 days of our stay. It was very much a nuisance.

Convenient location and comfortable bed. the hotel is in a great spot close to the subway and has very comfortable beds which made it easy to rest. There is also a free breakfast which is great, as well as complimentary toiletries.
Noisy rooms and outdated facilities. the hotel facilities are outdated which makes it nothing special.

The breakfast had a good variety of food and the room was clean and well-maintained. The hotel's location was convenient, just a short walk to the subway, stores, and restaurants.
The staff had a terrible attitude upon check-in and were unhelpful when I requested a room change. The room itself was in poor condition, with broken lamps, missing lighting, and a torn desk chair.

The location of the hotel is just one block from the Subway j and m trains; very easy to get just about anywhere we needed to go. We could get to Manhatten in about 15 minutes. The room was clean as was the facility. It seemed to be a fairly new building and they were making an effort to keep it nice. Good value for the money, at least comparing it to anything else in Brooklyn/NYC.
